Telemann Trumpet Concerto in D

The Telemann Trumpet Concerto in D is one of my favorite pieces of music. I gave two performances of this piece with the North Carolina Chamber Orchestra in April of 2019. This performance was featured on the Cincinnati Public Radio station WGUC’s 2021 benefit cd entitled “Aura”.

Sparke Concerto for Cornet and Brass Band

I’ve performed the Philip Sparke Concerto for Cornet and Brass Band with brass bands across the globe and I absolutely love this piece. This performance was recorded at the National Trumpet Competition in March of 2019, where I was the featured soloist with the Lexington Brass Band.

Quicksilver

I have known trumpet soloist Vince DiMartino since I was 10, so playing this fun duet “Quicksilver” with Vince at the National Trumpet Competition in 2019 with the Lexington Brass Band was so much fun!

Carnival of Venice

Many say that J.B. Arban’s Carnival of Venice is my signature piece. I’ve performed it hundreds of times over the course of my career and it never gets old (or easier!). This was recorded with the Lexington Brass Band at the 2019 National Trumpet Competition.

Charlier: Solo De Concours

This is another one of my favorite recital pieces, Charlier’s Solo De Concours. This was recorded at a live recital on April 9, 2017 as a part of the Woodstock Recital Series in Woodstock, VT with my friend and collaborative pianist Allison Gagnon.

Hyfrydol Aspects

This is one of my favorite pieces to play in recital because I get to talk about the importance of my faith. It’s in a beautifully accessible range for the end of a program and I also get to share a little about my dear friend Terry Everson who wrote this piece, Hyfrydol Aspects, for his son, Peter. This was recorded with pianist Allison Gagnon in 2017 at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Bach Prelude

This is one of my favorite virtual collaborations during the pandemic. This is part of Nathan Tighe’s arrangement of Bach’s Prelude from English Suite No. 2 featuring pianist Sarah Bob and my adorable son Kevin (age 5) as the announcer and encourager.

Rachmaninoff, Moment Musical Op. 16, No. 5

This piece by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Moment Musical Op. 16 No. 5, was transcribed for flugelhorn and piano by Nathaniel Tighe. This piece is a part of the new Ashley Hall-Tighe Collection and can be purchased as a PDF download at www.maplerisemusic.com. This was recorded in October 2022 at Maple Rise Music studios and features collaborative pianist, Ana Maria Otamendi and Video/Audio Production by Dave Zeng Productions.

Fantaisie Brilliante

I had the pleasure of touring Germany with Eurobrass for many summers. Playing J.B. Arban’s Fantaisie Brilliante with my dear friend and euphonium-player extraordinaire Angie Hunter, was always a joy. This duet arrangement was done by Chris Woods.
