"A newcomer in the trumpet section was hometown gal Ashley Hall as acting principal. The Wythe County native, now making a name for herself in the formerly male-dominated world of symphonic trumpet, is one of the finest young brass talents I've heard. The cut-glass precision of her double and triple-tonguing was much in evidence toward the end of the Rimsky-Korsakov."

Having played a number of works as principal trumpeter with the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music's Concert Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra in my undergraduate years, I had invaluable training as I developed my skills as an orchestral trumpeter. I won the position of third trumpet with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra upon graduation from CCM in 2003, and serve as guest principal trumpeter for the Sinfonia Gulf Coast Orchestra and the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra (on occasion). I have performed a wide variety of orchestral music and have substituted
with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, the Rhode Island Philharmonic, and the New World Symphony.
