"The magic continued as Ashley Hall, the featured trumpet soloist, took center stage. She is, without a doubt, one of the most gifted musicians who I have ever had the privilege to hear. She is an attractive young woman with excellent stage presence, who obviously loves every minute of the performance experience. Hall has every reason to feel this way because her tone is full and pleasing, her articulation is flawless and her breath support and dynamic control are outstanding. To complete the package, she plays with audible and visual expression and makes it look easy all the while. Hall played the three-movement Trumpet Concerto in E flat by Johann Hummel, immediately followed by Jean-Baptiste Arban's flashy "Carnival of Venice." Not only were both pieces played to perfection, but the stamina exhibited by the soloist was remarkable. Though it was pure magic to hear, this caliber of performance is born of talent and interminable hours of practice, not magic. Hall earned a standing ovation at the conclusion of her performance, along with applause, after several of the Arban variations." Review by Carol J. Gramm, Monday, April 18, 2005. |

| My training and experience as a classical trumpeter has provided incredible opportunities to perform solo, chamber and orchestral music. As a soloist, I've performed numerous recitals with piano and organ, concertos and solo works with orchestras and wind ensembles, and solos with smaller ensembles. As a chamber musician, I've enjoyed a wide range of musical collaborations, and have performed a variety of classical chamber music. As an orchestral musician, holding the position of third trumpet with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, playing principal with several other orchestras, and substituting with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, I continue to find opportunities to perform classical orchestral repertoire.
