An active artist in the solo and orchestral realms, Ashley Hall holds the positions of principal trumpet with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and third trumpet with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. Her 2010 solo highlights included touring as a member and cornet soloist with EUROBRASS in Germany, being a featured cornet soloist with St. Mary’s Band Club Brass on the opening gala of the International Trumpet Guild Conference in Sydney, Australia, and two solo appearances with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra which earned critical acclaim. The Oakwood Register stated that Ms. Hall was “the hot spot” of the Dayton Philharmonic’s New Year’s Eve Concert as “she made her trumpet actually talk in the Carnival of Venice”.
After winning the Junior High Division of the National Trumpet Competition, Ms. Hall made her solo debut at age 13 with the Capitol Winds Ensemble from Washington, D.C. She later took first place in the Blount-Slawson Young Artists Competition, the College Division of the National Trumpet Competition and the International Trumpet Guild’s Solo Competition. Since that time, Ms. Hall has been a featured soloist with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Florida Symphony, Lima Symphony, Wintergreen Festival Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Southwest Virginia and three-time soloist with the Washington Chamber Symphony at the Kennedy Center. She collaborated with Dayton composer Steven Winteregg on an “An American Concerto”, which she subsequently premiered with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra in 2005.

In the fall of 2007, Ms. Hall released her debut album entitled Behold Him, a collection of hymns for solo trumpet. As a worship artist she has given ministry concerts in the United States, Germany, Australia, India, Mexico and China. Following her trip to China in October of 2007, a video documentary entitled “Into the Way of Peace” was released featuring Ms. Hall with the Americana Music Group and their musical and cultural exchange. Ms. Hall has also recorded two CD’s with EUROBRASS, Give Thanks to the Lord and Worthy is the Lord and has toured Germany with the group for five summers.
Ms. Hall’s passion for making music is paralleled by a dedication and commitment to teaching and arts advocacy. Ms. Hall is on the faculty at the University of Dayton as part-time trumpet instructor and also serves as a member of the faculty brass quintet.
